After the train ride into the city we walked and walked and walked and walked to the American Girl Place. It was over a mile and a half but the weather was perfect and we enjoyed visiting Jake and getting to know him. (Not interrogating him…..just some innocent visiting….the interrogation came later at Starbucks when we left him alone with Jeff!)
We shopped at AG Place and then ate Chicago deep dish pizza for lunch. What a treat! We’ve attached pictures for you so you can see how huge the thing really is. After a final run through AG Place we walked back to the train station with a coffee stop on the way. It was there that Jeff decided Jake was “balanced theologically” which of course was a big sigh of relief for everyone. WHEW!
We are currently packing up as we are planning on leaving right from church in the morning. Bethany and Jake are coming over to play games after supper.We are so glad that we got to spend time with both of them today. They really are an amazing couple who are planning on getting married in the Fall. I’m totally kidding but just wanted to see who reads this. Ang

WOW! You guys did some SERIOUS shopping. And Jake gets A LOT of points just for going into the store. I love the pics of the girls & their bags - I bet you'll still have those bags when you roll back into town sometime in July...did I just say July? I think I meant April. *sigh* Oh and Becca, I accidentally might have flushed this loud furry thing that's been staying in Caris' room.

I take it that the sandels Jake and Beth are wearing indicate that you are in a much warmer climate than we are experiencing back home in Hope.
